 Name: Tae Ho Park
Position: CMC Student

While Googling colleges in the office where he worked in Seoul, South Korea, Tae Ho Park came across Colorado Mountain College.
“I felt this was my destiny, so I decided to come here without any hesitation,” explains Tae Ho.
He is very interested in the ski business, and is thoroughly enjoying the beautiful, mountainous scenery surrounding the Timberline Campus in Leadville. He is also anxious to hit the slopes and enjoy the long ski season. Tae Ho is also very excited about being in the Ski Area Operations program at CMC.
Tae Ho comes from Seoul, South Korea where his mother and father have retired from their jobs, and his sister is working for a global company. Tae Ho is not the first in his family to attend college, but he is the first one to attend college in the United States. Both his mother and sister graduated from college in South Korea.
When asked how American schools compare with Korean schools, Tae Ho said, “American schools are more liberal than Korean schools. However, American students do not seem to take their studies as seriously as Korean students do.”
Another aspect of American vs. Korean culture he notices is that “Koreans are more respectful to older people.”
When asked about his plans after graduating from CMC, Tae Ho said, “Graduating is my first priority so far. I will see what I can do after that.”
He also added, “Thanks for all of you employees at CMC. You guys are the best. I’m really glad that I can learn what I wanted and be here. I really mean it.”
The college is also glad that Tae Ho is here to enrich our lives.
